Roadtrip 2021-2022 Winter: Seaside - Yachats - Brookings

Day 22 - Finding lunch in Brookings, Crissey Field

The most important word in all this verbage is: "open". It is amazing that most businesses in Brookings cannot find workers - and it is almost impossible to find a lunch spot that is open. We are determined to at least do our part to help those small businesses who are up and running.

In regards to the signage - we have no idea. Lunch at the Fat Irish was great though - 2 cups of chowder and a light and crispy tasty calamari - al fresco.

Anticipation builds as we wind our way through the driftlogs to...

That's one heck of a log jam.

Have we ever mentioned that there ain't nuthin' like a day at the beach?

Yup, beach this way, field that. What they don't like to talk about is that hole. The only old timer who would say anything at all, whispered: "The bones of a thousand men lie strewn about that lair". He then fell silent, shaking silently in his rocking chair.

The limbs of this tree would make great bottle cleaners. The cones are just kinda pretty.
